| CBS Sports announcer James Brown comes through with an assist: he will co-anchor THE SATURDAY EARLY SHOW with Tracy Smith on Feb. 17 and 24 (check local listings), and will then re-join Smith after March Madness for another two weeks on April 7 and 14. |

On July 22nd from 4-5pm ET on CBS, nine NFL players will be featured in the "JB Awards Television Special," a one-hour television show that offers exclusive in-depth interviews of the JB Award recipients honored this past April at the NFL Players Gridiron Gala, in Washington, D.C. For the third consecutive year, the NFL Players Association and PLAYERS INC have partnered with James Brown, who is returning to CBS Sports as host of "THE NFL TODAY," to create this television special.

PLAYERS INC and the NFL Players Association have formed a partnership with James Brown of Fox Television to honor NFL players who exemplify leadership, dedication, and commitment to team and community. Throughout the year an extensive search is conducted to identify the players deserving of these special honors.
Past winners include Peyton Manning, Mark Brunell (top left), and Howie Long (with JB).

| James Brown Returns to CBS Sports as Host of "The NFL Today" and play-by-play Announcer for NCAA Basketball

James Brown returns to CBS Sports as host for the CBS Television Network’s NFL pre-game show, THE NFL TODAY, and as play-by-play announcer for the Network’s coverage of college basketball including the NCAA tournament. The announcement was made today by Sean McManus, President, CBS News and Sports and Tony Petitti, Executive Vice President and Executive Producer, CBS Sports.
Brown will anchor THE NFL TODAY along with analysts Dan Marino, Shannon Sharpe and Boomer Esiason.
