Elizabeth K. Malia joined JB and JTB Communications as JB's Personal Assistant in 1997. She added the responsibility of Producer for his nationally syndicated radio show, "The James Brown Show," on Sporting News Radio in March, 2002. She combines a breadth of administrative experience and people management skills with an in-depth knowledge of and appreciation for sports.
Prior to joining JB's team, Elizabeth spent eight years in the education field. At The Field School (Washington, DC), a co-educational college preparatory school for grades seven through 12, she held a number of management positions during her six-year tenure, including Director of Admissions, Director of Alumni Affairs and Assistant Head of the Middle School. Her love of sports was evident in her basketball and soccer coaching while on staff. Before that, she spent two years as Director of Students for the Middle School at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart in Bethesda, MD, her high school alma mater. In that capacity, she was charged with overseeing the personal and behavioral growth of 175 girls in grades 5-8.

A native Washingtonian, Elizabeth received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Mount Saint Mary's College (Maryland). After graduation, she worked for two years as a paralegal for a Washington, DC-based law firm before returning to education.

Elizabeth lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis, and is a dedicated Washington Redskins fan.
